Meredith Hammons, MHC

Meredith is a compassionate mental health professional who brings more than five years of private practice counseling experience to her work with first responders at Proteam Wellness.  She holds a Master of Science in Professional Counseling and is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA). Meredith is actively pursuing her LMHCA licensure as well as a Counseling First Responder Certification and engages in ride-alongs with various departments to gain a deeper understanding of the first responder experience.Meredith specializes in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and PTSD. Her focus is practical, strengths-based care that helps busy, high-stress professionals regain calm resilience, establish and maintain healthy coping skills, and restore daily functioning. With a direct and respectful style, her goal is to quickly build trust while creating a safe, supportive environment for her clients. In her therapeutic approach, she uses Trauma-Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) striving for a balance of clinical evidence-based approaches with practical solution focused tools.
