Concussion Evaluation & Management

Clear answers and an individualized path to recovery

Concussions are not always obvious. Symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, sleep disruption, irritability, slowed reaction time, memory problems, and difficulty concentrating may develop after a head impact, fall, collision, whiplash-type movement, or blast exposure.

Dr. Gianna Hill provides specialized concussion evaluation and management to help patients understand their symptoms, recover safely, and return to work, school, physical activity, and everyday life.

Comprehensive Concussion Evaluation

An evaluation may include:

  • Review of the injury and medical history

  • Concussion symptom assessment

  • ImPACT neurocognitive testing

  • Memory, attention, and processing-speed testing

  • Vestibular and ocular-motor screening

  • Review of sleep, stress, and emotional symptoms

  • Evaluation of work, school, and activity demands

Testing is selected based on each patient’s injury, symptoms, and individual needs.

An Individualized Recovery Plan

Following the evaluation, Dr. Hill develops a personalized treatment plan that may include:

  • Guidance for sleep, physical activity, and symptom management

  • Work or school accommodations

  • Graduated return-to-work, school, or activity recommendations

  • Vestibular rehabilitation through ProTeam Tactical Performance

  • Coordination with physicians and other specialists

Follow-up appointments are used to monitor recovery, adjust recommendations, and guide the patient toward resuming normal activities.

Workers’ Compensation Referrals

Workers’ compensation carriers, adjusters, and case managers may refer injured employees directly to ProTeam Wellness when authorized to direct care.

ProTeam Wellness coordinates scheduling, records review, clinical documentation, treatment recommendations, and return-to-work communication.

Take the Next Step

If you have experienced a head impact, fall, collision, sudden jarring movement, or other event that may have caused a concussion, an evaluation can help determine the appropriate next step.
