Cynthia Reynolds, LCSW
Cynthia Reynolds is dually licensed in Clinical Social Work and Clinical Addictions Counseling. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree Science in Psychology from Valparaiso University and subsequently moved to Chicago, IL, to attend Loyola University Chicago to achieve her Master’s Degree. Cynthia lived in Chicago for 14 years where she was an active volunteer with the American Red Cross Disaster Mental Health team. She managed a police social work team for 7 years for Proviso Township, located just outside of Chicago in addition to (4) Emergency Department Crisis Teams. She loved working alongside First Responders and expanding the program to better help the community.
Cynthia specializes in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, survivors of abuse/trauma, self-injury, suicidal thoughts, crisis intervention, w Incident Stress Management, and Motivational Interviewing. She is a national speaker on topics such as stress management, depression, geriatric mental health, and the symptoms of post-traumatic stress after ICU admission. She has completed training with the Star Behavioral Health Team, which trains civilian mental health providers the culture and challenges of military service. She participates in a state-wide crisis response team to provide crisis mental health services after local emergencies, such as armed robberies, public shootings, and front-line workers in the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since returning to Indianapolis in 2010, she worked with Eskenazi Health in the Sandra Eskenazi Center for Brain Care Innovation and the nationally recognized Critical Care Recovery Center for 12 years. Cynthia is thrilled to be back working with First Responders at ProTeam Wellness.
